Adrien Plavsic – Certified Mental Fitness Coach

Le Sommet International Hockey Academy are happy to announce that Adrien Plavsic will be working with us, along with the Hawkesbury Knights and Saint Lazare Avalanche for the 2025-2026 season.

Hockey players are inherently Type-A personalities with a singular goal…to become the best player possible.

However, in the pursuit of their dreams, they often become obsessed and lose sight of other things that are important in life.
That lack of balance can have just as much of a negative impact on their development as making a good first pass or picking the top corner of the net.

That is where Adrien comes in.Adrien is a former NHL defenseman who played eight seasons with the St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Anaheim Mighty Ducks. A second-round draft pick in 1988, he won an Olympic silver medal with Team Canada in 1992 and later played in Switzerland’s top league. Today, he works as a Certified Mental Fitness coach, helping athletes achieve their goals by drawing on his own personal trials performing under pressure at hockey’s highest level and his background as an elite athlete.

As a father, entrepreneur, speaker, and hockey coach, he draws from his diverse experience to transform how teams, athletes, and sports parents approach performance beyond the scoreboard. His focus on mental freedom & flexibility enables athletes to reach their peak potential, not just in their sport but in all aspects of life.

Just as skating, shooting, and scoring are fundamental to hockey, it’s the six inches between the ears that takes an athlete “from good to great”. Adrien can help them tap into that essential mental edge—that leads to clarity, confidence, and the belief needed to excel when it matters most.

Adrien will speak will each team as a group and then can be made available for individual sessions. For more information about one-on-one with Adrien, email Shawn Anderson.

We look forward to Adrien’s contribution to all three of our programs.
